RTC, CRPF, Latur is located at Barshi Road, Mahadevnagar, Latur, Maharashtra (413 531). The land measuring 200 acres was provided by Maharashtra Government in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation campus, Latur.  It was originally meant for DMTC (Disaster Management Training Centre), of "National Disaster Response Force”.  But subsequently it was handed over to CRPF in 2007.  196 Bn was raised in this location in June’ 2007 and Unit HQr was located here till Feb 2010.  Thereafter, 216 Bn was raised here in July’ 2010.  Later on Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) started functioning at this location in June, 2011, which was renamed as Additional Training Centre (ATC) in July’2012. The Recruit Training Centre, Latur was established on 1stSeptember ‘2014 vide IG (Trg), Dte General, CRPF Signal No.T.V.12/2014-Trg-XI (New Raising) dated 21/8/2014.  The institution was initially under the administrative control of IG, Western Sector and later placed under the administrative control of Training Directorate w.e.f. 26/02/2016.

Ø The institution is located at about 13 km from Latur Railway station and 15 km from Latur Bus Stand.

Ø Latur is well connected by road with main cities of Maharashtra. It is 140 Km from Solapur, 300 Km from Hyderabad, 450 Km from Nagpur, 350 Km from Pune and 300 km from Aurangabad.

Ø  Latur is connected with Mumbai, Pune, Bidar, Nanded, Nagpur and Hyderabad by train.

Ø There is a daily train from Mumbai touching Pune en-route. Train No 22107 leaves Mumbai CST at 2130 hrs daily and reaches Latur at 0630 Hrs on the next day. It leaves Latur at 2230 hrs and reaches Mumbai CST at 0805 hrs on the next day.

Ø Train No 17014 leaves from Hyderabad at 2245 hrs on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and arrives at Latur at 0622 hrs on the next day. Train no 17013 leaves from Latur at 2045 hrs on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and arrives at Hyderabad at 0430 hrs on the next day.

            Latur is situated 636 meters above mean sea level, on the Balaghat Plateau near the Maharashtra - Karnataka border. The temperature ranges between 13°C to 41°C. Average rainfall during the Monsoon season, which spans from June to September, is 725 mm. The months of March to June are usually hot and dry with average temperature of about 40°C.

5.     AIM

            RTC Latur is mandated to impart basic training to newly appointed Constable/Recruits of CRPF and other State Police Departments.

6.   OBJECTIVE

The objective of RTC Latur is to impart quality training to recruit constables to develop high standard of soldierly skills by attaining high standard of physical fitness, endurance, firing skills, jungle craft, tactics and professional knowledge with high degree of mental toughness so as to mould them into all weather, all terrain and all theatres fighting soldiers.

7. TRAINING CAPACITY

RTC Latur has capacity to train 1215 Constable/Recruits at a time.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECRUIT TRAINING CENTRE,CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE FORCE, LATUR, MAHARASHTRA

 1.   BRIEF HISTORY

                      Recruit Training Centre, CRPF, Latur was established on September 1, 2014 to impart basic training to Recruits/GD of CRPF. In addition to RT/GD of CRPF the institution also imparts basic training to CT/Tradesmen and CT/GD of various State Police and India Reserve Battalions.

 2.   LOCATION –

7.    DAILY ROUTINEOF TRAINEES

     Ø The course duration is of 44weeks for RTs/GD

Ø There are ten periods in a working day including a games period.

Ø One period is of 40 minute duration with an inter-period break of 5 minutes.

Ø There are 7 periods before lunch and 3 periods after lunch.

Ø Night training is imparted according to the syllabus.

Ø 4-week jungle camp training including 1 week self-contained survival exercise is included in 44 weeks basic training.

Ø The training is aimed at physical endurance, obstacles negotiation, field craft, tactics, jungle warfare, IEDs, explosives, unarmed combat and weapon training.

Ø Firing of small arms viz. 5.56mm INSAS Rifle, LMG, AK-47, Carbine & Pistol.

Ø Indoor classes on laws, CRPF Act and Rules, internal security, public order, human rights and election duties are also included in the curriculum.

Ø Mid-term break of 2 weeks is given to all trainees after completion of 22-weeks of basic training.

 8. TRAINING CAPACITY

RTC Latur has capacity to train 1215 Constable/Recruits at a time.

 B- DOCUMENTS

Before dispatching RTs for basic training the concerned BNs / GCs/ Departments must ensure completion of all-initial documentation as mentioned below –

1.    Preparation of service book, recruitment roll, initiation of verification of character / education certificate etc.

2.    Bank account with ATM Card/Cheque-book.

3.    Completion of nomination forms/PIS data/DCPS with form S-1 etc.

4.    This training center will not be responsible for completing above documents.

Following documents must be sent along with the party I/C of the recruits: -

5.   A recent passport size photo of recruits dully attested by competent authority

10.  PAY AND ALLOWANCES


                        Pay and allowances of trainees will be looked after by the respective GCs/Units/Department and should be deposited directly in their bank accounts as per the directions issued vide DIG (IT) Dte. signal no. C.VII-01/2010-11-PAY-1 Dated 04/01/2011.

 

11   RECEPTION AND TRANSPORT

 Ø On receipt of order from training directorate, respective Group Centre or Department will ensure timely dispatch of all RTs under proper supervision of a SO/UO.

Ø Date & time of arrival of parties must be intimated to RTC Latur well in advance.

Ø On receipt of prior information Govt. transport will be provided to recruits on arrival at Railway Station/Bus Stand Latur.

Ø One representative of RTC Latur will be detailed at nearest Railway Station for assistance/guidance of arriving parties.       

  12.  SPORTS, RECREATION AND OTHER FACILITIES

            Following sports and recreational facilities are available in RTC Latur:

 A.  Sports

   Football, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Cricket,      Badminton and Table Tennis.

 B.  Recreational facilities

TV with cable connection, news papers, various periodicals and indoor games.

 C.  Library

Sufficient Books and periodicals are available in the Library.

 4.   Canteen

CPC and Wet Canteen are functioning in this institution from where Recruits can purchase necessary items at a reasonable price.

5.   Out pass

 After successfully passing of the Foot Drill Test in 12TH week, Recruits are given out pass on Sundays and holidays to visit local market and tourist places within Latur.

 6.   Telephone / mobiles

Ø Use of mobile during training time is strictly prohibited.

Ø Recruits can use mobiles after training hours.

Ø Recruits may also be contacted on the land-line control room number of RTC Latur.

Ø To promote interest in training and to boost the morale of trainees, monthly coy-wise selection of Best Recruit in ‘ indoor, outdoor and drill’ subjects are selected and their photograph is displayed at prominent places.

 15. LEAVE

Ø No leave is permitted during the Basic Training except on extreme compassionate grounds.

Ø 2-week mid-term break will be granted after successful completion of 22 weeks of basic training.

16. MEDICAL FACILITIES

 Ø A well-equipped and staffed 10 beded hospital is available in the campus.

Ø  Out sourcing of medical facilities is done as per  requirement.

 17. ACCOMMODATION

Trainees are accommodated in well furnished built up barracks

18. MESSING

Ø Separate wing-wise messing is available.

Ø Nutritious & hygienic food according to  the dietary requirements of trainees is followed.

 19.DISCHARGE

Discharge formalities will be completed by the respective Group Centre/Department. No recruit will be sent on discharge from this RTC.

20. DISPERSAL

Ø On completion of basic training, the recruits will be dispatched to their respective GC/Unit/Department.

Ø Advance information will be given to the GC/Unit/Department regarding collection of RTs.

Ø A collection party/escort along with railway warrant for return journey of RTs should report at this location on the specified date and time.

Ø All recruits must clear their dues before leaving this institution.

Ø The clearance certificate duly signed by all branches and authorities  should be  obtained before leaving the training centre.           

     21. DISCIPLINE

 ØRecruits are not permitted to keep their families while under training.

ØAll recruits must maintain high standard of discipline.

ØAll are expected to strictly adhere to the rules, regulations and orders issued by the Principal, from time to time.

ØConsumption of liquor/intoxicants, lending and borrowing of money etc. are strictly prohibited.

ØThe Principal will exercise all disciplinary powers in respect of the recruits during training period.

ØRecruits are not permitted to leave the campus without permission of the competent authority.

ØParents and relatives are permitted  to visit their wards  only on Sunday & holiday  with in camp only after prior intimation and permission.

ØOut pass will be given only on Sundays and closed holidays after successful completion of foot drill test in the 12th week of training.
